A $20 Hamf….(Wait didn’t I just write this)

Went to another hamfest this weekend and somehow came home with another $20 Timex Sinclair 1000 with the 16K RAM pack.

Did I need another one? Not even a little. I had just picked one up last weekend, and I already have 4 or 5 of them at home. But my thinking is that it might have eventually ended up in a landfill. At least now it’ll either get restored, be used for parts to keep another one running, or maybe become the start of a future project.

My next hamfest won’t be until September. There are three of them that month, and I plan on making it to at least two. Two of them are the same weekend one on Saturday and one on Sunday but they’re in opposite directions and each is over 2.5 hours away. It’ll make for a busy weekend, but a fun one as these are the last hamfests for the year in my area.
